Take a walk through the heartland of the Aït Atta tribe to the scene of their epic last stand against French colonialisation.

The Aït Atta retreat to Bou Gafer in 1933 and their fierce resistance to the French invasion of their lands has rightly taken its place in Moroccan folklore. Survey this epic scene from the summit of Amalou n’Mansour, the highest mountain in Jebel Sahro, and then explore the crags and ravines which offered a last sanctuary to the warriors, their families and livestock before their ultimate surrender.
